Complimentary Portraits will be taken throughout the cocktail hour starting at 6 P.M. by professional photographer, Ms. Selecia Russo.  Couples portraits are available on request.  Additional candid photographs will be taken throughout the evening.   Photographs will be posted on this website and available for download following the event.

A block of 26 rooms have been reserved with the “Inn at the Union League”.  Please contact the front desk at (215) 587-5570 and mention the “Supply corps Birthday Ball”.

Please be aware of the dress code policy noted below.  Deadline for reserving a room is January 30, 2010. After this date, rooms are released first come first served.

 

 

 

Parking and Arrival Information

 

Please plan to arrive early at the Union League.   Traffic on Friday  evening is very heavy downtown.   Plan on delays navigating through streets around City Hall.  The Association is covering the cost of parking at the Midtown Parking Garage only and vouchers will be available at the reception table in front of the Lincoln Memorial Room during the cocktail hour. 

 

 

When arriving at the Union League for Cocktail Hour, guests should enter the building using the entrance on Sansom Street located on the ground floor directly across from the Midtown Parking Garage.  This is also where the hotel lobby/front desk is located.  Proceed up the stairs to the Lincoln Memorial Room to the reception table and cocktail hour. For overnight guests at the Union League, check-in is 3:00 P.M. Union League Dress Code Policy

The League adheres to a strict dress code policy. The League requires a jacket be worn by men when dining in any of the restaurants. The exceptions to this policy are breakfast Monday through Sunday and lunch on Saturday, which allow business casual. Business casual is defined as a collared shirt and slacks for men and appropriate attire for women. Jeans, denim wear, athletic  attire, tee shirts, shorts, baseball caps, sneakers or tattered clothes are never permitted on the first or second floor of the League house (where the restaurants and meeting rooms are located). Guests staying at the Inn at the League or members using the Fitness  Center may come and go as they are by using the entrance on Sansom Street located on the ground floor (which is where the hotel lobby/front desk is located).

 

Directions to the Union League of Philadelphia

From North of Philadelphia:  Follow I-95 South to Exit 22.  Take 676 West/Central Philadelphia exit.  Follow 676 West to the first exit which is Broad Street/Central Philadelphia.  This exit will bring you onto 15th Street.  Continue on 15th Street until you see City Hall on your left.  Bear left around City Hall.  Make a right at the first light, which is Broad Street.  Take Broad Street two blocks to Sansom Street.  Make a right onto Sansom.  The Midtown Parking garage is on the right.  The entrance to the Union League is directly across the street under the blue awning.

From South of Philadelphia:  Follow I-95 North to Exit 22.   Follow signs for 676 West/Central Philadelphia Ext.  Exit to the left.   Follow 676 West to the first exit, which is Broad Street/Central Philadelphia.  This exit will bring you onto 15th Street.   Continue on 15th Street until you see City Hall on your left.  Bear left around City Hall.  Make a right at the first light, which is Broad Street.  Take Broad Street two blocks to Sansom Street.  Make a right onto Sansom.  The Midtown Parking Garage is on the right.  the entrance to the Union League is directly across the street under the blue awning.

From East of Philadelphia:  Benjamin Franklin Bridge to 676 West/Central Philadelphia Exit.  Get on 676 West, and then take the first exit, which is Broad Street/Central Philadelphia.  This exit will bring you onto 15th Street.  Continue on 15th Street until you see City Hall on your left.  Bear left around City Hall.  Make a right at the first light, which is Broad Street.  Take Broad Street two blocks to Sansom Street.  Make a right onto Sansom.  The Midtown Parking Garage is on the right.  The entrance to the Union League is directly across the street under the blue awning.

From West of Philadelphia:  Take the PA Turnpike to Exit 326, which the Valley Forge Exit.  When you exit take 76 East to Exit 344, which is the 676 East/Central Philadelphia Exit.  Take the second exit, which is Broad Street/Central Philadelphia.  Stay in the right lane as you exit.  Make a right at the light, which is 15th Street.  Continue on 15th Street until you see City Hall on your left.  Bear left around City Hall.  Make a right at the first light, which is Broad street.  Take Broad Street two blocks to Sansom Street.  Make a right onto Sansom.  The Midtown Parking Garage is on the right.  the entrance to the Union League is directly across the street under the blue awning.
